When you are in a class and feel seperated
"Color sign" and "white sign" is all you see
This is what we call segregation
you think to yourself how can this be
You walk down the street and feel out of place
police officers and water hose all in your face
this is what we call segregation
if you haven't learned yet then pick up the pace
No where to run, now where to hide
even the government is in on the inside
this is what we call segregation
so let's face our fears
Segregation means a lot on so many levels
there was a time in life everyone wasn't treated properly
always being blamed for the color of their skin
being treated like your someone's property
this is what I call segregation
and to come to reality it's still going on as I speak
now to sum this up just fine
segregation is serious and not just in this rhyme
